What are the classifications of venous blood collection needles?
According to the different colors of the scalp, the venous blood collection tubes are mainly divided into the following types:
1. The green head tube contains lithium heparin. The heparin tube is generally used for biochemical and blood rheological testing, and is the best choice for electrolyte testing. Because heparin can cause white blood cell aggregation, it cannot be used for white blood cell counting and classification.
2. Red head tube The inner wall of the tube is evenly coated with silica to prevent wall hanging, and coagulant is added at the same time. It is generally used for serum immunological testing such as hepatitis virus, thyroid function, drug testing, AIDS testing, and tumor markers.
3. Purple head tube The tube contains ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and its salt, and EDTA salt is usually used as an anticoagulant. It is used for general hematology examinations such as blood cell count and classification, but cannot be used for coagulation, trace element and PCR examinations.
4. Blue head tube The tube contains sodium citrate, which is mainly used for the detection of fibrinolytic system (prothrombin time, thrombin time, activated partial thrombin time, fibrinogen). Please pay attention to the sufficient blood volume when collecting blood to prevent the cavity in the tube from affecting the accuracy of the test results. After blood collection, please invert and mix 5-8 times immediately.
5. Blackhead tube The tube contains sodium citrate, which is generally used for erythrocyte sedimentation rate detection. When the proportion of anticoagulant is too high, the blood is diluted and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate can be accelerated.
