(1) The time of insulin injection can be adjusted under different conditions. If the blood sugar is too high during injection, it is advisable to choose abdominal injection or a slightly deeper injection to appropriately extend the interval between injection and meal; do not eat on time after injection, choose upper arm or buttocks, and inject shallowly; when injection, blood sugar is normal and you can choose any part.
(2) Abdominal injection absorbs the fastest, followed by the outside of the forearm, and then the outside of the thigh, buttocks, and upper arms.
(3) The injection site must be changed during one injection (insulin itself is a growth factor, repeated injections at the same site will cause hyperplasia of the subcutaneous fat layer at the injection site, resulting in induration or lipoma).
(4) The two injection points should be separated by 1 to 2 cm to ensure the stable absorption of insulin.
(5) After using the Novo Pen, the needle should stay under the skin for 5-10 seconds to ensure that the insulin is completely injected.
(6) In order to ensure that insulin is injected under the skin, if a longer injection needle or syringe is used, the skin must be pinched and injected at a 45 degree angle. When using a pen core, it is not necessary to pinch the skin and inject directly. After the piston is fully pushed to the bottom, the needle needs to stay in the skin for 10 seconds.
(7) After insulin injection, hypoglycemia may occur during driving, so you should stop driving or seek a substitute driving.
(8) There is a drug resistance phenomenon called "hyperinsulinemia", which refers to oral administration of two or more hypoglycemic agents, or continuous injection of insulin doses that are increasing, but the blood sugar is still poorly controlled (not up to standard). When the daily dose of insulin exceeds 2U/kg of body weight and blood sugar is still high, you should go to the hospital to check whether it is insulin resistance? If it is insulin resistance, you need to lose weight, regulate blood lipids, increase exercise, or improve resistance.
